Kananga is a first class municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 48,027 people. The majority of Kananga's economic activity has historically been concentrated in agriculture. The main crops are coconut and palay. Kananga is 30 minutes aways from Ormoc and 1 hrs and 11 minutes from Tacloban.

Kananga was devastated of the typhoon YOLANDA last Thursday and still haven't recieved any kind help from the Government because everything has been focus to Tacloban. For five days now, I have been receiving numerous messages that people in our little town are starving and helpless. My heart is weeping thinking about my family, friends and people are in the very sad situation. God impressed me help them. I would like to knock in the bottom of your heart to share your blessing in any amount to my town would be greatly appreciated, or if you can't please say a PRAYER for their survival.
